Jake Baker 27 Fund

Smiling man in green #27 football jersey

In loving memory of their son Jake, James and Karen Baker established The Jake Baker 27 Fund to honor his life and continue his legacy.

The fund is dedicated to supporting organizations and programs that raise awareness about the importance of mental health, prevent suicide, and provide comfort to families and loved ones affected by such loss. Jake’s story is a powerful reminder that no one walks this journey alone. Through their efforts, his legacy inspires understanding, compassion, and support for those in need.

Jake attended school and played football at Slippery Rock University for one year, Towson University for one year, and Clarion University for two years. While playing at Slippery Rock, Jake was a defensive end and helped The Rock to the 2023 PSAC West title and a trip to the NCAA Division II Quarterfinals. Prior to college, Jake attended Catoctin High School, where he wrestled and won a 2019 state championship in football. He also enjoyed creating art, kayaking, fishing, working on his truck, Nerf guns, and building Lego kits.
