J. Trego and Shirley D. Zimmerman Fund for Glade United Church of Christ and Glade Cemetery

Founded by Mr. and Mrs. Zimmerman, the fund provides grants supporting the activities of Glade United Church of Christ and Glade Cemetery.

As active members of the church, they attended worship regularly, and Mr. Zimmerman also served as president of the Glade Cemetery Board. In addition to her love of her church, Mrs. Zimmerman will be remembered for her love of her family and friends, along with the impact she made as a tireless volunteer with many community organizations.

Founded through Anna G. Beers’ estate provisions to support campus grounds beautification at Hood College.

The Helen G. and Alfred G. Zimmerman Hood College Campus Ground Beautification Fund will support campus grounds beautification at Hood College, located in Frederick, MD. Mr. and Mrs. Zimmerman, Mrs. Beers’ uncle and aunt, were the founders and owners of Zimmerman’s Florist on 2nd Street in the city of Frederick. They encouraged and supported Mrs. Beers’ desire to further her education at Hood College, and she graduated in 1939.
